I grew up in Minnesota and Georgia, creating theatre the whole time. From the instrumental community theatres that were home to me from a young age to my performing arts high school that instilled professionalism and independence in me to my recent experience in the Twin Cities theatre community, art has been a driving force in my life. While auditioning for colleges, I was bent on examining the idea of truth and its place in art. I was determined to decide exactly what “truth” was and how we could be as “true” as possible in theatre. They were very grand notions at the time. As time has passed, I have realized the only truth that really matters are the stories we tell and how they impact the people who hear them.
